If you're in Darling Harbour over the Easter long weekend, you may be wondering what all the Hoopla is.

Hoopla is Australia's annual circus and street theatre festival and features some of the world's best performers. For five days and four nights, Darling Harbour will be transformed into a combination circus ring and outdoor theatre that will hosts acrobats, actors, stunt performers, dancers and more.

The Hoopla Festival will take place between 22 and 26 April from midday to 5.00pm, except for Anzac Day, when events will take place between 1.00pm and 5.00pm. Venues like the Big Top, the Carnival of Dreams and Circusworks will host a huge range of different performances, while children (and the young at heart) can attempt to juggle, spin plates and hula hoop with instruction from the experts.



After hours, Hoopla Nights serves up a more mature range of entertainment. Death-defying stunts, burlesque shows, buskers and theatre are some of the items on the menu.

The Hoopla Festival will take place throughout Darling Harbour and is free to enjoy. Hoopla Nights activities are also located at Darling Harbour and cost up to $15.00. For the full program, visit the Darling Harbour website .
