The event will include appearances by a number of special guests, including AFL star Bachar Houli. The popular Richmond Tigers defender enjoys going fishing with his family, and is one of VFA's ambassadors.
Other guests on the day will include:
Aaron Habgood, a well-known fishing expert who will be sharing some fishing tips
Dr Corey Green, a scientist from the VFA who will be sharing research
Kristina Royter, a Fishing Guide and Author will be providing advice and instruction on fly casting techniques

Fishing Clinics: Several local fishing clubs will be holding fishing clinics for people of all ages, with everything provided. This is a great chance to try fishing and see if you enjoy it, without having to organise a permit and fork out money for some fishing gear.

Cooking Demonstration: Sam Goodwin from Masterchef Australia will be doing a cooking demonstration, with recipes featuring fresh fish and Portarlington-grown mussels.
