The first Dog Day event is coming to Newcastle.

Gather the family and bring your dog to the Honeysuckle Hotel , where your dog will be treated to some epic pampering and entertainment.

Pound Paws , in partnership with the Honeysuckle Hotel, have arranged a family-friendly day out with activities that promote awareness about animal adoption - and it's only 5 mins walk from the Newcastle CBD.



There will be plenty of dogs to pat, as you enjoy the live entertainment and various pet stalls - plus your dog can have an equally exciting afternoon enjoying the following fun activities:


Pound Paws Charity
They are an Australian based charity, starting in 2014, focusing on reducing the number of animals on death row per year. They assist rescue centres & pounds with the overall adoption process and organising pet adoption events, like this one. They also utilise modern online technology to re-home pets and educate the Australian public.

Their mission:
To be at the forefront of innovation and use modern technology and social media to help re-home abandoned pets in Australia.

Their vision:
To increase the number of pet adoptions from pounds and eliminate the need for animals to be euthanised.

Their values:
To raise awareness, education and the importance of adopting instead of shopping.

Pound Paws has focused mainly on cats and dogs and their services also extend to other animals such as rabbits, horses, pigs, and goats. Since it was formed, Pound Paws has posted details of thousands of animals available for adoption from different rescues and pounds and helped these animals find homes.

Honeysuckle Dog Day will be a fun event to raise awareness about pet adoption and a wonderful day out to celebrate the wonderful companionship we share with our pets.
