The Homespun Fair hosted at the Moonee Ponds Baptist Church, corner Eglington and Laura streets, Moonee Pond, on Saturday 11 November between the hours of 9am to 3pm, is more than just a Fair. It's also a major annual fundraiser, its sole purpose, to help those in need. This creative and innovative local fair that raises funds for an annual medical mission trip to the Philippines, ensures medical supplies and treatment reaches rural areas. It's a service that wouldn't otherwise be received, along with doctors and dentists who volunteer their time.
Like the years before it, this fair is going all out with great items handcrafted to a high standard. There'll be even more stalls this year, with the market hosting external vendors as well. There'll be an abundance of quality toys, clothing and gifts for babies and children. Think spring cleaning and refresh your home with great homewares, or perhaps, early preparations for the upcoming festive season.
You'll find jewellery, soaps, candles, jams and much more, including Christmas themed gifts and decorations. There's plenty to keep the kids happy with fun activities, face painting and a jumping castle. Bring one, bring all, family and friends, and help raise funds for this very worthy cause. Entry is free.
