Homelands Bankstown is celebrating Refugee Week on
Saturday 25 June 2022 from 4pm to 7.30pm AEST at
The Bankstown Arts Centre, 5 Olympic Parade, Bankstown. A free event, just
register here to attend. On the day, enjoy live music, dance, workshops, an art exhibition and markets at this family-friendly event. Showcased will be artists from emerging and former refugee communities at Bankstown Arts Centre.
Be entertained by live music performances from Jannawi Dance Clan, Zeadala, Azadoota, Fadi and Fabian, Rinchen Dorji, and DJ Putrika spinning the decks. Try your hand at the Brazilian drumming workshop, or handover your hand for some intricate henna work. There are food stalls to be enjoyed as well with Andina Peruvian Cuisine, Sasa's Kitchen (Eyptian) and Djebena Ethiopian Coffee.
