The
Home Style Market – one of the few undercover night time offerings in Brisbane – has undergone a few changes.
The market has shifted from its spot at Jindalee Girl Guides Hut to a new location at Sherwood State School Sports Hall (corner Sherwood and Oxley Roads). The new site has free street parking, and free onsite disabled parking.
Commencing 11 February (just in time for Valentine's Day, guys) they will take place on the second Saturday of the month, from February to December. You will find a further list of dates
here. The previous entry free of $2 is no more; you can now check out these markets for free.
Not everything has changed, though. The Home Style Market still promotes homemade and home grown products from small businesses, and provides live acoustic music and a range of hot and cold food stalls. Stall site fees begin at $10. Interested parties can
e-mail the organisers.
Founder Jemma Holcombe says, "The [market] offers a friendly and relaxed venue where you can catch up with friends, have a bite to eat and browse handmade lovelies."
