All your home schooling resources in one place
With CO-VID19 spreading across the world, lots of parents and guardians are finding themselves at home with their kids or are at work and have their kids home full time. Either way, homeschooling is now a reality for lots of families, and that can feel both daunting and overwhelming.
I am currently on Day 2 of homeschooling my two children (one is in grade 7 and the other in grade 5) and I have had to find resources to both educate and entertain my kids.
The focus of this Facebook group is to provide resources for parents and guardians with children registered in school but who can't attend because of CO-VID19. Of course, any resources and work assigned from schools come first, but this is a great resource and back up for those who need it.
Some of the resources that can be found include:
All State Learning @ Home Portals Free Resources Virtual Tours
Health (mental, nutritional) and P.E. Art and Craft Links Worksheets for Primary School to Print
State Education Information
There are so many great things about this group.
1. I don't have to endlessly search the internet for resources.
2. I don't feel alone as I try to figure out what my children should be learning.
3. Everyone is so generous with all the resources they are sharing.
Here is a small sample of some of the websites I have found useful so far.
P.E. for kids at home.
British body coach, Joe Wicks, is providing daily 30-minute P.E. lessons for kids during the lockdown. His YouTube channel, The Body Coach, also has great workouts for adults and sessions specifically designed for seniors too.
