Dinner does not need to be boring for your loved ones
Throwing a dinner party can be so good. You can have good food, good drinks and good fellowship.

Have you ever thought of preparing a themed dinner party? Here is a list of themes for you to choose from. Can you think of anything else?

Baked Potato Bar
Borrow some Crock-Pots, fill up with potatoes, and have a bar full of toppings.

Lunchmeat Deli
Have various lunch meat, cheeses and bread.

Taco Fiesta
Have hard and soft taco shells with various toppings.

Wine and Cheese Samplings
Exactly what the title says... wine and cheese. Have some non-alcoholic drinks also.

Chilli Cookoff
Have shot glasses and plastic spoons/knives for sampling each chilli. Have people vote on the chilli that they like best. Present the winner with a small gift.

Casino Night
Have card tables, drinks and appetizers.

Breakfast For Dinner
Have everything from cereal to bacon and eggs. Have people dress in their pajamas.

Finger Foods
Look up some recipes from a cookbook for finger foods. Ask people that are attending to bring finger food also.

Dessert Display
Have a dessert table, from cakes to pies to cookies.

Italian Night
Prepare whatever Italian dishes are your favorites. For example, my favorites are fettuccine, lasagna and gnocchi.

Chinese Takeout
Search online on how to make Chinese dishes if you do not know how. There are many for preparing in a Crock-Pot.

Bagel Bar
Have an assortment of bagels, from onion to blueberry to French toast, etc., with an assortment of jams, jellies, butter and cream cheese.

The Cafe
Have a few borrowed coffee makers with different flavored coffees prepared. Have a couple of creamers also. Buy some dollar store coffee cups to give to guests as a gift.

Except for the Wine and Samplings theme, the rest of the themes are frugal. I am sure friends and family would not mind you borrowing Crock-Pots and coffee makers.

I hope you have found this article to be inspirational.
