A new cafe comes to Red Hill offering a warm sense of home.



Visitors to the inner west suburb of Ashgrove may have stopped for a bite to eat and coffee at Home Cafe on Stewart's Road. Well, now the popular cafe has extended its culinary family to bring its sister cafe, Home On the Green to Red Hill.

Home on the Green is situated at the base of Fulcher Road (off busy Waterworks Road), along the tree-lined walking and bike paths beside Enoggera Creek. Home on the Green can be found at the entrance to the Red Hill Community Sports Club, adjacent to the lush and tended lawns of the Bowling Greens Club.

The cafe overlooks the manicured green grass of the Red Hill Community Bowls Club and provides
undercover as well as bench seats and umbrellas in the outdoor seating space. The potted plants on the indoor tables offer a special touch.



The Offerings
For those looking for a hot or cold beverage maybe after a morning walk, Home on the Green, like the Home Cafe brews up Botero Coffee from $3.25 to $5.80. Hot and cold coffees, teas, frappes, smoothies, milkshakes and more. For a bite to eat, they serve light snacks such as pastries, and savouries (including fresh scones).



So now that you have ordered your coffee and found a table, here are some other special features to look out for:

A Community Book Exchange Library. After you order your coffee, perhaps explore the shelves of the black bookcase with a selection of fiction and nonfiction books. The Bring a Book and Swap a Book concept gives these pages another chance t be enjoyed by its next reader.



Children's Play Mat The Cafe has placed a mat of faux grass aside especially for the kids to ditch the high chair and sit and play with their toys.



Historical Photos
Beside the play mat is a timeline and collection of historical photos dating as far back as the 1800s which illustrates key events in the life of the area. As one of Brisbane's oldest suburbs, there is a lot of facts and key moments to draw upon in Red Hills' past.

Home on the Green is located at 22 Fulcher Road, Red Hill QLD 4059 open 6 days from Tuesday to Sunday from 6 am to 12 noon. Red Hill is an easy 4 kilometres from the Brisbane Central Business District. Free parking is available for patrons of the Club.
