Always a popular and well-attended event, South Australia's biggest home and lifestyle show, The Sunday Mail Home Living Expo, will be held once again this year in the Jubilee Pavilion at the Adelaide Showgrounds. The dates are Friday 5th, Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th April and the doors will be open from 10.00am to 5.00pm each day.

The Expo will be packed with ideas, advice, great deals and entertainment and will showcase the latest in-home building, extension, renovation and decorating products. Visitors to the Expo will be able to see, compare and purchase or order from the wide range of furniture and appliances which will be on display. There will also be a large selection of home entertainment and outdoor living products, landscaping designs and energy saving ideas to fire the imagination.

An extensive range of demonstrations and renovation seminars presented by industry experts will offer Do-It-Yourself help and advice. These will include sessions on:
  • Kitchen Renovation
  • Bathroom Renovation
  • Latest Design & Colour Trends
  • How to start your Renovation or New Build
  • Landscaping Design
  • Energy Saving Ideas

  • A special feature of the Expo will be the Food and Cooking Show which will tempt your taste buds with food and wine samples and offer you the opportunity to view and buy the best and latest in food, kitchens, appliances and products. Leading South Australian chefs will be at the show to present cooking demonstrations and share their ideas and recipes. Classes will also be available for those who want to increase their knowledge and appreciation of wine.

Expert Advice for anyone thinking about building a new home or planning a renovation will be offered at the Institute of Architects Information Centre. Architects will be available to talk with you about your proposals and they can offer advice to improve the appearance, functionality and sustainability of your project. They can also help deliver an on-time cost efficient build.

New buildings and renovations require painting and you can learn this skill from the experts at daily paint demonstrations, presented by the Master Painters, Decorators and Signwriters Association (MPA) of South Australia.

The Northern Turners will be at the Home Living Expo to present an Artisan Woodwork Gallery where you will be able to see and buy hundreds of original wooden pieces. The pieces are handcrafted locally, using quality Australian timbers, some reclaimed from a wood heap or recycled from fence posts. Each piece is an original and has been turned to reveal the beauty of the grain or enhanced by suitable carving, piercing, inlay, or other decoration. The range of different artists exhibiting ensures a wide variety of styles and items to choose from. Members and demonstrators will be happy to speak with anyone interest in the craft.
