Canberra Glassworks is located in Kingston, just a short drive from the city centre. Visitors have the opportunity to watch resident glass artists create their unique art forms and also view exhibitions of their creations.

Their current exhibition is called "Home Is Where The Heat Is", which showcases a range of glass art displayed in various hallways and behind-the-scenes locations within the historical building. Between 26th October, 2017 and 13th January, 2018 they will be holding free tours between Wednesday and Sunday, to take a rare look behind-the-scenes and also see works from this fascinating exhibition.

This free tour is also a good opportunity to learn more about the building itself, which was the Kingston Power Station between 1915 - 1957, providing electricity for Canberra. See how the resident artists have used this historical building as their inspiration in their current exhibition. See the Eventbrite website for booking details.
