The Home Harvest Picnic at 30 Gastons Rd, Eltham, on Sunday 31 March 2019 from 4.30-8pm is hosted by Edendale Community Environment Farm . Their focus is on providing an interactive community and education centre to support sustainable living practices for the whole community. It's where you can learn about environmental issues including a demonstration of local solutions to global environmental challenges.

Be sure to book your FREE - $10 tickets as bookings are essential for all options. A talented chef and local students will be preparing an amazing picnic spread using home-grown produce received from local growers. You can register as a grower for FREE as long as you supply some of your home-grown produce for the picnic and you'll receive a prepared basket for you and up to three guests. For option 2, you can buy a picnic basket for $10 per person if you're not a grower but would still love to be a part of this great community event.

Last but not least, register for a FREE ticket and bring your own picnic. Register for the number of tickets you require and soak up the atmosphere with your own picnic goodies. All you then need to do is to enjoy a delicious community picnic in the beautiful surrounds of Edendale Farm . For over eight years Nillumbik and Banyule residents have been celebrating the autumn harvest through community events like this, and activities such as garden tours and workshops.

Edendale run school education programs, school holiday activities and venue space for parties and events if you need it. You can see their animals, explore the farm and enjoy sumptuous food and drink at Cafe Eden. You can learn more about recycling and other information and tips to help you live sustainably. They also sell indigenous plants and other products such as compost bins and worm farms and of course volunteers provide a valuable contribution to Edendale, so find out how you can get involved.

If you just can't wait for such an amazing event that's great for family and friends to enjoy together, there are two other events upcoming you might like to cast your eyes upon. The Nillumbik Greens Book Sale hosted by Nillumbik Greens will be at Edendale Farm at the aforementioned address in Eltham on Sunday 24 March 2019 from 9am to 4pm with their widely popular book store. Head on down to this FREE event, a book lover's delight, for cheap, good quality secondhand books for children and adults and kids can bring a book and swap it for another. Make it a day on the farm and enjoy free entry; however, donations are most welcome.

Come Together Music Fest 2019 hosted by Come Together Music & Arts Festival , The Senegambian Jazz Band and Miss Colombia is on Saturday 30 March 2019 from 1pm to 9pm at the Farm in Eltham again. In its 5th year, there'll be a fine array of musicians, artists, and DJs on The Homestead Stage and The Good Times Stage (under the peppercorn tree), so don't miss it. Head to the discussion section of the event page for more deets on the lineup and to interact with the conversation running. There's a whole lot of fun times to be had with all three events running at The Farm.
