Home Harvest Manningham is a monthly free home and gardening seminar run by Sustainable Gardening Australia held at the Manningham City Council. The purpose behind the event is to invite and support the local community to grow their own delicious fresh produce and introduce ways to recycle and compost waste back into the garden.
Like all communities persisting in the twenty first century, we are faced with many challenges such as food security, transportation, energy, water and housing issues. With the aim to lead the community towards a more sustainable future, specialist presenters from a range of fields will provide ideas, inspirations and up to date information on home growing, sustainability and recycling issues.
Companion Planting Wednesday 30th October 7:00pm -9:00pm
Getting Ready for the Summer Harvest Wednesday 27th November 2013 7:00pm-9:00pm
The program also includes opportunities to exchange home grown food at the Home Harvest Exchange including fresh vegetables, fruits, nuts, herbs and spices. Don't forget to share your recipes and ideas too!
