Home - Everyone Has A Story. What's Yours? Art Project 2015

During 2014, Melbourne was filled with music when Play Me, I'm Yours Art Project where 24 decorated pianos graced various locations in the city.

An new art project called "Home - Everybody Has A Story. What Yours?" is taking place with 7000 little houses decorated by communities across Melbourne and Victoria will fill streets, parks and city spots throughout the city.

If you find a little house around town, help continue its journey, move it, photograph it and share the experience using the hashtag #homemelb .


The Big Housewarming will take place on 10 January from 5.00pm until 6.30pm. Hosted by Rockwiz's Brian Nankervis and music entertainment will include Lou Bennett, The Riot Squad and Jonathon Welch and the School of Hard Knocks Absolutely Everybody Choir.

Melbourne artist Darryl Cordell has designed the concept.This art project is the second annual project in the Betty Amsden Participation Program. It's a four year program celebrating creativity and art for all.

You can head to the Big House on the lawn for affordable food on Friday nights, weekends and Australia Day.

Throughout the event; workshops, dance and music activities will take place.


On Australia Day (26 January), the finale will features artists who have chosen to make Melbourne their home. An afternoon of music, dance and workshops featuring Ajak Kwai, The Lalibelas, The Cambodian Space Project.

Come down to lawn on the Arts Centre Melbourne and celebrate free events at the Big House daily from 10 to 26 January.
