Poignant artworks from refugee artists
The artworks of six shortlisted artists from a refugee or asylum seeker background will be on display at the Walker Street Art Gallery, Dandenong, from 18th October to 24th November. To support the development of new work, each artist will receive $1000, provided by sponsor IKEA Dandenong.

This is the fourth HOME exhibition, an annual event aimed at celebrating the City of Greater Dandenong's cultural diversity, and deepening community understanding of the experience of being a refugee. The pictured work, My Vision by Tadros Hanna, draws on iconography from his native Egypt to explore themes of hope and life.
