Lord Britten, Benjamin Britten, was an English composer, conductor, and pianist.

He was a central figure of twentieth-century British classical music, and wrote music in many genres, from film scores to opera. His best known works include Peter Grimes and The Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra.

In this, the centenary year of his birth, WAAPA pays homage to Britten in a fascinating journey through a wide variety of his vocal music.

Postgraduate students will be prepared and accompanied by Coordinator of Classical Music, Stewart Smith and Sharolyn Kimmorley, one of Australia's foremost coaches and accompanists.
