As an avid fan of Mexican delicacy, I was absolutely ecstatic to see this new Mexican joint open up in the heart of the Parade!

Holy Guacamoly is the newest resident on the eating front in Norwood. As the name suggests, the place serves some of the freshest, aroma-filled Mexican meals that will make anyone feel highly appreciative regarding their authentic cuisine.

The joint is small, but perfectly-sized and can fit around 10 people at a time. It hasn't got incredibly busy (yet), but that may be because it's only been open for 3 weeks thus far.

I absolutely love the quaint decor of Holy Guacamoly. Its walls have a beautiful blend of brick wall with art in the form of yellow waves and Mexican-themed shirts hanging off the hooks. The colours of the tables and chairs are complemented in a manner that pleases the eye and mentally makes us as customers feel safe in a happy place.

It was a bit disappointing to hear that the store had run out of chicken at 7pm, but I was very keen to try their food. I opted for the Beef Quesadillas served with corn and tomato on the side and drizzled with garlic and herb sauce.

I was pleasantly surprised at how the quesadillas instantly melted in my mouth. They were tasty, fresh and obviously had a hint of Mexican spices, which I adore to the fullest!

As it was a Wednesday and the store had only been open for 3 weeks, my friend and I were lucky enough to have a free serve of crinkle chips as part of their opening special. I would highly recommend you to get a drizzle of a sauce - any kind of sauce, because it's what makes these chips smell and taste absolutely divine! They are good on their own, but if you're at a Mexican restaurant, you should take full advantage of the 'zing' that you get in all types of Mexican food!

For dessert (even though we were pretty full by then), we opted for the chocolate nachos. I'll admit, I wasn't expecting anything grand - I just wanted to order it for its name.

And by golly, I'm sure glad I did. The nachos were obviously fried to the core, but that's what made it lovely to have - to share - with a friend. As a rule of thumb (especially since it's summer), I tend to have a main meal by myself and then share the dessert so it's not overpowering or overwhelming for the body to partake. It is a handful and can be shared with up to four people.

The nachos are drizzled in melted milk chocolate, and served with ice cream on the side. I broke a chunk off the ice cream and put bits on the warm nachos. The blend of warm nachos with chocolate sauce and cool ice cream is very accommodating in the tastebuds, so try it! It's good.

So there you have it - the Parade's newest Mexican joint that has got excellent customer service, a very helpful team that will help you pick an option, and then serve you with the freshest meals that have a tint of Mexican meal authenticity.

You now have the power to either satisfy your mouth-watering cravings for some delicious Mexican dishes or go hungry. I would personally choose the former, if I were you.

Since they're still the newest addition to the Parade family, Holy Guacamoly is currently running "Opening Specials" of the following type(s) [as cited from their menu]:
Muchacho Monday: Any burrito $7
Taco Tuesday: Any taco $5
Delicioso Wednesday: Free crinkle chips with a main serve
Thirsty Thursday: Free drink with any main serve

So be quick and jump on these specials while you can - they are hosting it till the end of February!
