"Run for your life!"; these are not words you would ever expect to hear outside of the television screen. That said, you wouldn't expect to see Freddy, Chucky, Jason, Hannibal or Leatherface outside of the television screen either. Hollywood Horrors delivers on just that however. This troupe of talented actors bring to life all of your biggest fears.

Starring once again at this year's Royal Adelaide show is Hollywood Horrors. I was initially skeptical to take part in this sideshow alley attraction, as all other haunted rides have never really sent even a chill down my back.



Standing outside the foreboding haunted house I watched as the actors dressed entirely to part, including perfected special effects makeup, taunted and teased passers by, egging them on to try their luck inside.

Horror fanatics will adore this attraction. Once inside you're greeted by non-other than Freddy Kruger himself. You have the opportunity for a photo and then you must make your way inside. If you do not proceed, Freddy will chase you. Once inside you make your way through a variety of different scenarios, being scared by Vampires, Regan from the exorcist, and killers such as the Scream films' murderer. There is dim lighting and appropriately placed horrifying props, such as Chucky on a tricycle.



There are times in which you feel as though you can't even see two steps ahead, you're senses are on edge as you try to adjust to the fact you can't see anything. Even going in knowing that you will have people jump out at you does not prepare you for when it actually happens. There are times when you think these monsters and killers can't get through to grab you and that you're safe; but you're wrong. The actors inside the Hollywood Horrors House do not stop. They portray their roles to perfection and will chase you right down to the very next monster, never giving you a moment to regain your senses.



You will be chased, you will scream and you will have moments where it feels as though your heart will burst out of your chest. Whether it's being chased by Jason or Freddy, grabbed by Hannibal or lost in the darkness, you will leave this house feeling petrified and grateful to see the lights from the other rides as you reach the outside.



For only $10 per person I consider Hollywood Horrors to be the very best attraction for its price and would pick and suggest it over any other at the show. So if you've got the guts or like a good scare, when you visit the show make sure you pop in to say hi to all of your worst nightmares.

It's sure to be a scream.

Please note that this is an interactive horror walk and Hollywood Horrors suggests that those prone to epilepsy and weakness of the heart steer clear. You must also be 10 years or older to enjoy this horror-fest
