Hollywood Costume at the ACMI (running until Sunday 18th August) explores the central role costume design plays in cinema storytelling. Bringing together the most iconic costumes from a century of filmmaking, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see the clothes worn by unforgettable and beloved characters in films from The Wizard of Oz (1939) to Titanic (1997), Ben-Hur (1959) to James Bond (2007). In addition to Nicole Jenkins' Marilyn Munroe costume talk, the evening of 1st August will also be dedicated to expert talks on film trailers and songs of the era, sewing demonstrations by Thread Den and an exhibition bar.

The good news is, all of the entertainment offered on the night is free (although entry cost applies for the exhibition)
