Hollyhock Cottage has been in the Combes family for about 16 years. They have weathered the odd flood and remained intact. That's no mean feat, let me tell you, especially in this area! They stock a wide range of colourful potted plants (it's also a nursery). It's difficult not to take home a pot of flowers - they look so delightful and would add a touch of charm to any kitchen bench or shady patio.
Gifts, home wares, plants... a little bit of everything.
There are so many thoughtful gifts perched on old timber shelves or like these delightful cotton nighties hanging neatly in a shabby chic wardrobe. Everywhere you look you see gorgeous things - I asked Anne how she manages to keep them all out of her home?
I don't" she smiled.
There were so many delightful home wares you could spend a long time choosing! It's one of those rare shops where you feel you could literally move your bed and belongings in. Very homely and comforting.
There's something romantic about cotton night dresses....
