Hollyhock Cottage & Rockin Relics in Pomona

Driving through Pomona I came across two great little treasure troves full of goodies, sitting side by side.
Hollyhock Cottage has been in the Combes family for about 16 years. They have weathered the odd flood and remained intact. That's no mean feat, let me tell you, especially in this area! They stock a wide range of colourful potted plants (it's also a nursery). It's difficult
not to take home a pot of flowers - they look so delightful and would add a touch of charm to any kitchen bench or shady patio.
There are so many thoughtful gifts perched on old timber shelves or like these delightful cotton nighties hanging neatly in a shabby chic wardrobe. Everywhere you look you see gorgeous things - I asked Anne how she manages to keep them all out of her home?
"I don't" she smiled.
There were so many delightful home wares you could spend a long time choosing! It's one of those rare shops where you feel you could literally move your bed and belongings in. Very homely and comforting.
Well, there's no need to rush is there? They also sell coffee and shortbread so why not treat yourself and sit on their sunny verandah for a bit? There's a lot to take in, after all....
But.... if Antiques is more your cup of tea then simply wander next door into
Rockin Relics Antiques Barn and have a poke around there.
The range is extensive, cabinets, dressing tables, chandeliers, dining chairs, lamps, crockery.... A must for lovers of antiques.
There's no excuse to walk away from these two stores empty handed!
