Enjoy the serenity
Our wish list for a weekend B&B was simple; get away from the annoying weekend housecleaning, enjoy some fresh air and not have a huge drive.
We soon discovered Hollyhock B&B in Macedon. It took us 40 minutes to drive there and we found ourselves arriving at an old-fashioned house with a wide wisteria festooned veranda.
Our friendly host Chris was welcoming even though we were late and showed us into a private, specious apartment style room at the end of the veranda. There were plenty of seating areas, a comfortable bed, all the mod cons and a view out the windows leading from her little garden all the way across to the mist shrouded Mt Macedon.
