With school holidays coming up to give parents a break from home-schooling, what better way than to get involved in a Covid safe Spring Into Fun Program. Hosted by Greater Dandenong Youth Services, activities run between Sep-Oct 2021 and bookings are open now. This event is for young people aged 12-25 years, and bookings can be made by calling Youth and Family Services on 9793 2155, Monday to Friday 9am to 4.30pm. Bookings are required for all activities so get in early. To attend, you must live, study, work of have a significant connection to the City of Greater Dandenong. A registration form must be completed to secure your booking, and activities may be cancelled where booking numbers are low; in which case you will be notified. All online good behaviour applies and offensive or abusive behaviour/language will not be tolerated. Please attend appropriately dressed and in an appropriate environment. All activities are strictly no smoking, no drugs and no alcohol.

From 20 Sep to 1 Oct, choose from -

20 Sep - Trivia - Get your trivia hat on and embark on a friendly trivia competition and get to know the FReeZA Committee members.
21 Sep - Abstract Art Workshop - Practice the basic elements of abstract art, while exploring the theme of the 'Greater Dandenong. My Place. My Community' art competition.
22 Sep - IMPACT iNaturalist Training - Learn how to use the iNaturalist App to record your encounters with nature, and contribute valuable data to bio-diversity science.
23 Sep - T-Shirt into Tote Bag - At this workshop you will be able to give your shirt a second life by creating awesome no-sew tote bags.

Find booking and Zoom details via the links given as well as equipment you might need for some events. Outside of these activities, for those interested in street style soccer, you'll find many of those events listed as well for September-October.

27 Sep - Bollywood Dance Workshop - Get your dancing shoes on for our Bollywood Dance workshop. Come along and unleash your inner dancing skills and learn dance routines from Bollywood professionals.
29 Sep - Home Composting Workshop - Want to turn food and scraps into black gold? Come learn about composting and help our environment flourish.
30 Sep - My Place, My Community Art Workshop - Using pencils and paint, create a vivid picture of our community to submit into the Greater Dandenong, My Place, My Community art competition.
1 Oct - Boxing Workshop - Calling all boxing enthusiast for this boxing workshop as you learn drills and techniques to sharpen your boxing skills.

Fri 17 Sep-Sun 10 Oct - Soccer Trick Competition: free event - Submit a short video of your coolest soccer trick or shot on Greater Dandenong Youth Services social media - eg DM your video entry via Instagram or submit through Facebook, as there are prizes to be won. Entries close Sun 10 Oct 5pm.
Tue 28 Sep - Various sessions 1-2pm; 3-4pm: free event - Employment Bootcamp Workshop - Are you a secondary school student looking for your first casual or part-time job? Join the workshops to learn about your employability skills, and get tips on how to find jobs, succeed in interviews and make a good first impression. Bookings required and places are limited.
