Based on the best selling novel by Timothy Conigrave, and then adapted for the stage, 'Holding the Man' tells of the poignant and touching true story of Tim and John and the ups and downs of their 15 year relationship.

The movie spans the entirety of their love story, from their awkward boy meets boy teenage years, their sexual awakening as lovers, overcoming the disapprovement of their friends and family and finally, the crippling illness that was massively misunderstood back in the 80's - HIV.

Adapted for the stage in 2004

Featuring an amazing soundtrack (available on iTunes) you'll be flooded with nostalgia of classics from back in the day.

From laugh out loud moments to soul wrenching scenes guaranteed to leave you in tears, this movie is a definite must see for all fans of sweeping love stories, drama, romance and, not to mention a valuable and educational insight into HIV and Aids during the 80's and 90's.

I guarantee this movie will stay with you long after you leave the cinema.

Available in all good bookstores.
