This October is a monumental month for Holden aficionados in Australia. On Thursday the 20th of October, the last Holden will roll off the Elizabeth Factory Line as the company says goodbye to Australia.

To thank the community and to
celebrate Holden's past, present, and future, Holden will be holding an event on the
15th of October.
This historic day will kick off at
9AM with a 10km Dream Cruise of Australian manufactured Holden cars, led by the
first and last cars to be built by Holden - a 1948 48/215 and a 2017 VF Commodore.
The huge parade will make its way through the streets of Elizabeth,
beginning at the Elizabeth City Centre. Holdens and their owners will cruise
past the Vehicle Operations Plant on Philip HIghway and finally
end at the My Money House Oval.

Holden fans can get out their deckchairs and enjoy their morning cup of coffee
watching along the parade route. Or, for those who fancy a Sunday sleep in, members of the community can attend the
Family Fun Day at the parade finish line.
Even more excitingly,
pop sensation Samantha Jade has just been announced to perform at the Family Fun Day community concert.
The Dream Cruise is set to end at 11AM at the My Money House Oval, where the Family Fun Day will begin.

fans young and old can experience the beauty of Holdens of all types at the
Show 'n' Shine Display. 100 entrants will park their Holdens at My Money House Oval to be judged at 3:30PM in various categories including:
Best Preserved
Best Modified
Best pre-1968
Best post-1968
and, of course
Peoples' Choice
For those not so in the know about Holden, there will be lots of other things to do at the Family Fun Day. The day will also feature:
Face painting
Kids entertainment
Food, coffee, and bars
All day entertainment
Free Community Concert featuring Samantha Jade
Holden's historical day will end with the j
udging and awards of the 100 Show 'n' Shine cars at 3:30, with the event closing at 4PM.
