Recently opened at the Rundle Place food court, Hokkaido Baked Cheese Tart is a good place to drop by for the tart of the same name. Making use of a traditional recipe from Hokkaido, the tarts are baked on site daily to ensure their freshness. The place has already proved to be popular with a fairly long queue present when we visited the place a day before the official opening.
Making use of three types of cheeses, the filling of the store's signature tart had a delightful silky texture with a delectable sweet-savoury flavour that was not too cheesy. The crumbly buttery pastry set off the filling nicely and the slightly toasted filling from the baking process gave the tart an eye-catching appearance.

For those that want an alternative choice, the store also offers a Chocolate Tart as well. The filling had the same silky texture as their signature tart with the taste being somewhat similar to chocolate hazelnut spread. A scattering of what seemed like crushed peanuts added a bit of crunch to the tart.

The best part of the tarts is that there are various ways to enjoy them. You can either eat them there and enjoy them fresh and hot, or take them home if you desire your tarts chilled or at room temperature. If you are looking for something sweet that is bit different, consider dropping by for a visit.
