Hog's Breath Cafe Highpoint Shopping Centre

Finally the western suburbs of Melbourne opened their second Hog's Breath Café. The only other Hog's Breath located in the western suburbs is at Watergardens Shopping Centre. This new one is at Highpoint Shopping Centre (on the outside near La Porchetta) and opened on the 20th of November.
The Highpoint Hog's Breath follows the same theme as all the other stores (American style bar). However, compared to the Watergardens store, I found the Highpoint store to be larger, which allowed more space between each of the tables (this is something I find important, as I hate feeling like I am sharing a table with the other patrons).
I visited on Sunday for dinner with my partner. As soon as we were seated, we were given menus and the waiter introduced Hog's Breath to us (the introduction included the specials of the day and how they cook their steak for 18 hours). We ordered our drinks and took some time studying the menu. It was hard to make our minds up, as there were so many different meals to choose from.
We finally decided and the waiter quickly took our orders. My partner ordered the Byron Bay Chilli Prime Rib (traditional cut $31.95) with Hog Tail fries and vegetables with warm cheese sauce and I ordered Chicken Parmigiana ($22.95) with Caesar salad and hog tail fries. Usually meals come with either a house salad or vegetables. However, you can purchase a side Caesar salad for the same price that the house salad is sold for ($3.95); so I asked if I could swap mine, as the Caesar salad looked very enticing. They were happy to swap it and did not charge me a surcharge.
The Chicken Parmigiana was cooked perfectly. The crumbed outside was crisp and crunchy and the inside was moist. Also, they were generous with the Napolitano sauce; which had a rich tomato flavour. The Hog Tail fries were crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. They went really well with the Napolitano sauce; which I dipped in. The Caesar salad included fresh iceberg lettuce, crisp bacon, salty parmesan and a creamy Caesar sauce. After having a side Caesar salad, I am contemplating ordering it next time as a main; it was delicious.
I tried a bit of my partner's Byron Bay Chilli Prime Rib. The steak was soft, moist and melted in the mouth. However, I do not eat steak, so it is hard for me to judge ih. The Byron Bay Chilli sauce was delicious. It was not too spicy, which allowed my palate to taste all the other flavours within the sauce.
Once our food went down, we decided to order dessert. This was a quick and easy decision, as we have ordered this item before. We ordered Hoggies Rocky Road Sundae ($14.95) to share. With one change; we swapped the vanilla ice cream for choc chip chocolate ice cream (for an extra $3). The sundae was made up of four scoops of strawberry ice cream, four scoops of choc chip chocolate ice cream, piled on top of warm chocolate mud cake drenched in chocolate fudge sauce, topped with marshmallows, strawberry topping, whipped cream and toasted coconut. The Hoggies Rocky Road Sundae was enormous. I have never seen this dessert being consumed by one person; it is definitely one to be shared.
My Hog's Breath experience was definitely enjoyable. The staff was very attentive and friendly and the portions of food were massive, tasty and very enjoyable on the palate. I would recommend Hog's Breath Café if you are hungry, looking for something tasty and want to be served by friendly staff.
