Hubble bubble, toil and trouble, there's some mischief afoot this Halloween in Bulimba. If your little ghouls and gremlins love the idea of Trick or Treat but you're not so keen on walking the streets knocking on strangers doors, Hocus Pocus in the Park could be just the trick for your tots.
This free event has been organised through Bulimba Business and sponsored by Councillor Shayne Sutton and local businesses Carnival Parties and The Tyquin Group. The giant Halloween party will involve dressing up with prizes for the best costumes, a disco, sporting games, musical activities for pre-schoolers and much more!
Councillor Sutton said, "For a number of years the retailers of Oxford Street have taken part in Trick or Treat in Oxford Street but in the past few years it has become increasingly obvious that whilst it started as a small, fun event, the huge numbers it was drawing was making trading difficult and putting the safety of children at risk as they crossed the street and struggled to cope with the crowds. This year we are asking those businesses to support us by providing the lollies for the party in the park."
The fun will include a bouncy castle, face painting, balloon bending, fairy floss and a disco. Whilst everyone is welcome, it is most appropriate for pre-school tiny terrors and primary school aged witches and warlocks.
