Gather a group of family members, loved ones and friends for a journey with Seven-0-Seven Operations on 'Hobsons Bay Steam Shuttles' from Flinders Street Station to Newport and Laverton.
Our last steam-hauled excursion trains for 2022
With support from the West Gate Tunnel Project's West Gate Neighbourhood Fund and City of Hobsons Bay, join Seven-0-Seven Operations on board its Hobsons Bay steam train shuttles, a community event designed to celebrate the rich transport history of the Hobsons Bay region.
This FREE event will provide local residents and people from across greater Melbourne with the opportunity to experience steam (and heritage diesel) train rides while learning about local transport history and the contemporary rail network on Saturday 26 November.
Bring a picnic and swap on to a metro train for Altona Beach or Williamstown, the Williamstown Heritage Beer and Cider Festival, book a cafe or restaurant, or just enjoy a heritage rail travel of a day out.
The air-conditioned train will include both open saloon-type carriages and compartment carriages, as well as the famous lounge carriages Club Car 1 and BK708. Cafe Hudson will serve expresso coffee, Devonshire teas, assorted cakes and snacks, as well as offer a full bar service with a selection of ales, wine, sparkling and mixed drinks.
All fares are FREE and proudly supported by the West Gate Tunnel Project's West Gate Neighbourhood Fund and City of Hobsons Bay.
Heritage diesel-hauled trains will depart from Newport at 9.20am and 3.57pm travelling to Flinders Street.
Heritage diesel-hauled trains will depart from Laverton to Flinders Street at 10:44am, 12:12pm, 1:52pm and 5:10pm.
