An annual event, Hobsons Bay is set to entertain with Hobsons Bay Summer Events from Friday 12 January to Saturday 24 February 2018. This free event entails Movies by the Bay, and Summer Sounds.

Held across various venues in Hobsons Bay's scenic and accessible local parks on various dates, this is a family friendly event filled with blockbuster movies that begin at dusk (around 8.30pm) and a lineup of high profile music acts (begins at 4pm). See following for dates and venues.

Sat 13 Jan - Jana Garjana Dhol Pathak, Newport Gypsy Djangos, The Mudcakes @ McCormack Park, Laverton

Sat 20 Jan - The Audreys & Yorta Yorta, singer/songwriter Benny Walker & Teeny Tiny Stevies @ Commonwealth Reserve, Williamstown

Sat 20 Jan - Despicable Me 3 (PG), Logan Reserve, Altona (changed from Fri 12 due to weather conditions)

Sat 27 Jan - Ali's Wedding (M), Commonwealth Reserve, Williamstown

Fri 2 Feb - Captain Underpants (PG), Logan Reserve - Altona, plus local comedy

Sat 10 Feb - NEDA All Colour Project, Johnny Rollins, The Rrrrrrockets @ Logan Reserve, Altona

Sat 17 Feb - Jungle Cuffs, Hollow December, Plaza-trg (part of Summer Sounds Skate from 12pm), featuring BMX , Skate and Scooter competitions, followed by music including a performance from Westside Freeza 'Battle of the Bands' winners Hollow December, Altona Meadows Skate Park.

Sat 24 Feb - Wonder Woman (M), Commonwealth Reserve - Williamstown

Rebooting with a family friendly opening act added to the lineup of each Summer Sounds event, Hobsons Bay have ensured kids can get in amongst the action too. With over 10 different bands across four Saturdays, including must-see ARIA award winning duo The Audreys and Yorta Yorta, what are you waiting for?
