The championships are expected to be attended by an estimated 550 international competitors, representing twenty separate countries including South East Asia, Europe, North America and South Africa. All competitors will sail identical Hobie 16 catamarans, 60 of which will be built locally at the Hobie Cat Australasia factory which is now located in the Shoalhaven area.
