Be prepared for a year of fun-filled entertainment
This year Hobart is showcasing a range of festivals both free and ticketed for everyone to enjoy ranging from food to music.

See the list below for all festivals happening this year around the beautiful and picturesque Hobart:

1. Festa Italia Hobart
When: 22 February 2015: 11am-5pm
Where: Australian Italian Club, 77 Federal St, Hobart
Cost: Free admission
Details: Federal Street comes alive with all things Italian including live music, gourmet food & specialised wines, car & motorbike displays, children's activities, cooking demonstrations, grape crushing, watermelon and spaghetti eating competitions. There will be special interstate guests and entertainers, dance groups and local artists. This is a family fun-filled event.

2. Clarence Jazz Festival
When: 12-22 February 2015
Where: Various locations- see website
Cost: Free
Details: The festival captures jazz music and its beauty. There will be a range of performances over the course of the festival at various locations. See website for more information.

3. Hobart Kite Festival
When: 22 February 2015: 10am-3pm
Where: Hobart Regatta Ground, Tasman Hwy, Hobart
Cost: Free
Details: Bring a Kite and treat the family to a great day of kite flying. Watch the Kite Flyers of Tasmania put their special kites into the air. There will be face painting, food and coffee stalls. If you do not have a kite do not worry, you can purchase one from the Kite sellers.



4. Ocean Film Festival Australia
When: 13 March 2015: 7pm-10pm
Where: Stanley Burbury Theatre, Churchill Ave, Hobart
Cost: Adult: $30pp, Child: $22, Group: $25.50
Details: The Ocean Film Festival Australia showcases more than two hours of sublime footage taken above and below the water's surface. The films feature captivating cinematography, complete with awe-inspiring underwater scenes and fast-paced wave sequences that have been captured from unbelievable vantage points. 5. 52nd Spirit of India
When: 17 March 2015: from 7:30pm
Where: Theatre Royal Hobart, 29 Campbell St, Hobart
Cost: Tickets start from $50pp
Details: Spirit of India is a rich celebration of Indian culture and classical music with musical traditions and performance. Meeta Pandit has emerged as a shining star in the world of Indian classical music. See website for more information and ticket purchases.

6. Tasmanian International Arts Festival
When: 6- 29 March 2015

Details: Ten days of exciting and amazing shows / events ranging from cabaret, circus, comedy, dance, music, visual arts and plenty more events to be enjoyed. For more information see website including ticket purchase.



7. Moonah Taste of the World Festival
When: 29 March 2015
Where: Benjafield Park, Hopkins St, Hobart
Cost: Free
Details: The festival is a celebration of the rich cultural diversity of southern Tasmania. There will be around 20 stalls, taste testing, local and global produce, live music and plenty of kid's activities. This is a family friendly event!

8. Tasmanian Red Wine Weekend
When: 23- 24 May 2015: 12pm -5pm
Where: Princes Wharf 1, Castray Esplanade (Franklin Wharf), Hobart
Cost: See website.
Details: This is an 18 event only. This is one festival where vignerons and wine makers from across Tasmania come together to showcase their superb range of reds from a variety of vintages for you to try. Tastings, classes, masterclasses and plenty more events to be enjoyed. Click here for website.

9. Melbourne International Comedy Festival Roadshow
When: 3-4 July 2015: from 7:30pm
Where: Theatre Royal Hobart, 29 Campbell St, Hobart
Cost: Tickets start from $50pp
Details: This is a 15 event. Be prepared for laughs and plenty of much loved comedians. The event features some of the best home-grown local talent and international superstars. For more information on the festival including tickets see website.
