Liverpool Regional Museum is hosting their annual History Week Fair Day on Saturday 12th September 2015, from 10am until 2pm.

The theme of History Week for 2015 is War, Nationalism and Identity. Liverpool City Council is celebrating "all things Australian" at the Fair, so slap on some sunscreen and dust off your best esky and come along.

There will be plenty of free activities for all to enjoy including:

  • Aboriginal cultural heritage and traditional basket weaving workshops

  • Tours of historic Collingwood House - the home of Nantucket whaling captain Eber Bunker, Collingwood House dates back to 1810 and is a rare example of a modified colonial Georgian house.

  • A sheep shearing demonstration courtesy of Calmsley Hill City Farm

  • A display of Holden cars through the years

  • A military display reflecting the ANZAC spirit

  • Music by The Inland Navigators, an Aussie bush band

  • There will also be an NRL footy passing competition, sports games for the kids and a free Aussie BBQ.

This free event will be held at Liverpool Regional Museum, located on the corner of the Hume Highway and Congressional Drive, Liverpool.

Celebrate History Week with an Aussie flavour at Liverpool Regional Museum.
