Join Gallery 1855 for a guided walking tour to sketch the charming historical township of Tea Tree Gully. Starting at Gallery 1855, 2 Haines Road, Tea Tree Gully, your tour guides will give basic instructions for how to start to capture the historical characteristics of five main sites in the Tea Tree Gully Historical Precinct area, including:
  • First Council Chambers 1855
  • The Old Flour Mill
  • Ellis Cottage
  • Highercombe Hotel
  • Tea Tree Gully Hotel

  • While you stop to sketch, you can listen to historical insights about the buildings and get to know their rich history. Please note that the walking tour will involve walking approximately 2 kilometres on sometimes uneven or steep roads and footpaths. This workshop is suitable for adults and open to artists of all skill levels. Finishing at the gallery, you'll get to share your sketches with your fellow artists and reflect on your journey.

This FREE event will be held on Friday, 16 May 2025, starting from 1 pm to 3 pm. Book here , tea and coffee will be provided.

Please bring a sketchbook small enough to carry, basic sketching supplies (2B pencil, ink pen), any additional art supplies or a camera if preferred, a water bottle, a hat and other sun protection and weather and walking-appropriate clothing and footwear.
