On the 6th of June this year there was amazing support and attendance for the inaugural hillsceneLIVE event. When hillsceneLIVE#2 came along on the 5th of September 2014, it sent audience scurrying all over the main Belgrave strip's unused and unusual spaces to discover quirky and unique art forms that challenged the intellect and emotions. It's now time for hillsceneLIVE#3.

The organisers are extending their passion for the unique and quirky and holding this event at the Mt Burnet Observatory (they also have a Facebook page) at 420 Paternoster Road, Mt Burnett on Friday 5th December 2014 from 6pm to 10pm. Keeping with the tradition that is hillsceneLIVE, this event will activate a number of alternative spaces including an observatory dome, hidden nook, intimate theatrette, pop-up spaces and the outdoors. This final event of 2014 is going to be the most ambitious yet!

Imagine watching films in trees, descending a stairwell into an intimate theatrical encounter, immersing yourself in performance installations, hearing poetry in an observatory dome, or even listening as local astronomy buffs guide you through the solar system. Incredible art, inspiring performances, summer-time food and a licensed bar will be in the mix that features over a dozen local artists and guests from the Melbourne Arts Community. You'll also get a chance to use Mt Burnett's original observatory telescope.
