You could almost liken this event to a treasure hunt, but instead of mere baubles, you will be rewarded with something far greater.

Imagine coming upon an empty shop front, or turning a kooky corner, entering a cafe, going about on a public thoroughfare or even an underground lair, if you dare. I dare you to do so because that's where you will be rewarded with experimental performances from some of Melbourne's most exciting artists.
The mini-festival will take over the Belgrave Township. Capacity is limited – so be sure to book a ticket for this FREE event. Image courtesy of Hillscene website
All you have to do is meet at the Belgrave Train Station (Main St / Belgrave-Gembrook Rd), and armed with a map of Belgrave, you will be asked to seek out, explore and find a number of these secret locations in the township. This is a mini festival of 'Performance and Live Art' that seeks to engage and excite in re-invigorated and re-imagined spaces, taking over the Belgrave Township. It comes complete with artists of diversity with offerings of bold, striking, risky or even experimental performances. Experience Belgrave as you never have before.

However, that's not all. This is a two in one event. Not only is it HillsceneLIVE's 2nd event, it also happens to be the platform for the launch of the Spring issue of the Hillscene Magazine, a quarterly publication that focuses on all things community, culture and environment in the Dandenong Ranges. The brainchild of Adriana Alvarez, a Graphic Designer, Writer and Editor of the magazine, she decided to make her own magazine to showcase this thriving community she had moved to (Dandenong Ranges), filled with creative people.
