Gifts that give twice
Why not exercise your positive consumer power by visiting the Hills Fair Trade Market. Run by the Hills Justice Project, it will be held on Saturday 5 September from 10.00am to 2.00pm. Stalls will all be under cover and will include fabulous fair trade items including handicrafts, jewellery, clothing, toys, home wares and confectionery.
To make sure the whole family is happy, food and drink will be available, as well as free entertainment and activities for the kids.
You could stock up on some funky stubby coolers for Dad for Fathers Day for only $5.00. These are made by Recycled Bags Co.
The Fair Trade movement is about better prices, decent working conditions, local sustainability and fair terms of trade for farmers and workers in the developing world. By addressing injustices of conventional trade, Fair Trade enables producers living in poverty a chance to improve their position and have more control over their lives.
See you there at St Paul's Anglican Church, 421 Old Northern Rd, Castle Hill.
