Head to the Hills Art Market, Memorial Avenue, Emerald, on Saturday 9 December from 9am to 3pm for a fun, free entry, free parking, and free kids activities day filled with music. Sadie Girl on the Hill and soulful Cathy Dobson will entertain you, plus a possible pop-up cameo from the fabulous Barry Calliser, so come along and cruise through the day.
On the edge of The Dandenong Ranges, the colourful and thriving community of the Hill's Art Market is held every second Saturday of the month. Located on level ground, it's wheelchair friendly via Memorial Avenue beside the Emerald RSL car park. At the steps of the iconic Puffing Billy railway station, you can even arrive by steam train! You can park at Emerald Village where there's a variety of shops, cafes and more to enjoy.
Come along to immerse yourself in a community of visual artists gathering together to exhibit their world of artistic imaginations, offering and sharing their work. The kids can also create and explore at Kids Art Zone. With a broad variety of artists, skills and techniques, there'll be painters, potters, sculptors, illustrators, jewellery makers, wood carvers, pastel portraits, furniture makers, felt artist's and so much more. There's a succulent wreath workshop on offer on the day, hosted by For the Love of Succulents, from 10am to 1pm. This workshop will teach you how to plant your very own succulent wreath and includes all materials needed with detailed how to create and care instructions.
