What with the shops, restaurants, fun park, and the Aquarium, it can be easy to forget the main business of Hillarys Boat Harbour. Fortunately the Hillarys Boat Dive and Fishing Show is an annual event that showcases life on the water.



This is the 25th anniversay of the three-day show. It's bigger and better than ever making this a great chance to see the latest products, attend a demonstration or enter competitions for great prizes, including a chance to win a boat.

There's also free entertainment for all ages including novelty performers, the Miss Boat Show pageant and the Captain Cleanup show for the kids.



Get expert advice at a seminar with Darren Finklestein, author of Honey Let's Buy a Boat and then explore the options from a kayak to a trailer boat to a luxury yacht. Pick up some pro fishing tips at a Bluewater Tackle seminar before checking out the fish filleting and cooking demonstrations.



There's also a great range of activities for the junior members of the family. Recfishwest is holding fishing clinics for children aged 10-17 with giveaways and prizes. The Naturaliste Marine Discovery centre also has free entry on Saturday and Sunday, offering a chance to get up close and personal with marine life at the Touch Pool and explore the many exhibits.

Note: Hillarys can get very crowded on the weekends so the organisers have provided a free shuttle bus on Saturday and Sunday:

Park at Sacred Heart College, Hocking Parade Sorrento for $2 and catch the free shuttle bus departing every 10 mins (operates between 9.00am and 5:30pm).

Or park at Greenwood Train Station and catch the free shuttle bus departing with every train arrival (operates between 9.00am and 5.30pm).
