I always feel like I'm on holiday when I visit Hillarys Boat Harbour. I enjoy the sea air and the cafes and restaurants. Combine this with fashion and it's my perfect day out, so I'll definitely be visiting the Hillarys Antique & Vintage Fair .

This is the second annual Fair and it's bigger and better than ever. As well as great shopping you can enjoy vintage fashion parades and live music. You'll also be able to have your fortune told, or have a fun photo taken.

Entry is by gold coin donation with proceeds to the Royal Flying Doctor Service.

Vintage clothing has become a fashion essential and it's easy to see why as you explore the stalls.

Vintage sizing can be problematical so I appreciate the trend to "up-cycle" or reconstruct vintage garments meaning that sizing is more suited to women of today.

Here are a few stalls I'll be visiting:

Neon Pony specialises in reconstructed clothing. They design retro-inspired unique pieces and create them using vintage fabrics.

Scarlett's Vintage Perth concentrates on classics from the 1940's through the 1990's. Find a whole outfit including handbags and shoes. Note: Saturday Only

French Mustard re-designs and up-cycles charity shop bargains into original fashion statements.

Miss Brown is a national retailer that re-styles vintage clothing and fabric into unique pieces.

No outfit is complete with jewellery. Fortunately I should be able to find some unique costume at Vintage Chloe or a re-made piece at MarknTime .

Visit the website for more information and stallholder updates. Some will not be there all three days so check carefully.

I enjoy browsing antique shops and admiring the craftsmanship and quality of the items on display. I also find it amusing to see everyday items that I remember from my grandparent's house – wish I'd kept that canister set. So I'll be sure to visit these stalls:

I love chiming clocks but unfortunately my grandparents liked modern electric models. Guess I'll have to be content with browsing the beauties at Dutch Antique Time Pieces. Someday! Clocks are only part of what they offer, all restored by expert crafstmen.

Anne & Terry Larter Antique Jewellery & China offer fine jewellery and tableware from their large collection. They're happy to chat about the history of the pieces too.

For something different try Archeo Gallery. They feature antiquities, fossils and natural history items as well as ancient art.

This is only a sample of what's available as the final list isn't out yet. Check online for updates.

[SECTION]General[/SECTION]
Antiques and vintage are all about the past but there are also opportunities to explore the future.

How's this for something new and unusual? Rocketpro Aromadough makes rainbow coloured "play doh" from all natural ingredients. Even better it's infused with essential oils that may have mood balancing effects. Think lemon-lime for energy or calming lavender for pre-bedtime play.

There are plenty of places to drink coffee but Vincenza Pedrin will also read the message in the coffee grains and offer guidance accordingly. You can also have your palm read or visit a clairvoyant.

Should need a holiday there will be Vacation Ownership options to explore at Wyndham Vacation Resorts Asia Pacific .

More stalls are being added so be sure to check for updates.
