The Hijinx Hotel encompasses an immersive interactive game experience set within the theme, wonder, and theatre of a quirky New York-style hotel, where the rooms are transformed into fast-paced, challenge rooms. Leave your suitcases behind - these are rooms designed for playing, not staying.



Each of the hotel wings houses enjoyable and experiential game-fied rooms consisting of five different collaborative games. Our family favourites were hard to narrow down, but the Scrambled room was super fun, consisting of clues to solve with letter blocks. The challenge was timed and our family beat the high score... probably one of the reasons it was a favourite!



Hijinx is ideal for ages five and up, whether young or young at heart, for groups, on a romantic outing or simply hanging out with a friend.

Hijinx Hotel comprises multiple sets of five challenge rooms, each specifically designed for two to six players to collaborate and conquer challenges while striving for high scores on the leaderboard. On arrival, you will be allocated a set of five challenge rooms at random.

Every room within a set caters to 2-6 players, and your group must aim to accumulate as many points as possible within a four-minute timeframe before proceeding to the next room in your designated set. A complete set of five challenge rooms offers a 30-minute experience.

Feeling thirsty? Enjoy a drink in the reception area or savour cocktails at the bar. They offer a range of classic choices along with unique Hijinx Hotel specialties, all with a touch of unicorn magic. Menu items start from $5.50.

Remember, you won't be staying in these rooms; they are meant for play, not to stay.

Book your Hijinx Hotel experience online well in advance. A total of 30 people can make online reservations (no splitting bill), with a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 6 individuals per challenge room. Arrive around 30 minutes before your scheduled session to receive game instructions, be escorted to your assigned room and to begin playing promptly (late comers may not be able to be accommodated due to the nature of the bookings). The admission price for adults is $25 per person, while under 18 years old are $20 per person.




Some of the challenges require movement within the room to maximise point accumulation within the time limit. Consequently, they recommend wearing attire that allows comfortable mobility. Think of it as a lively game of musical chairs. Ball gowns and high heels may not be suitable for this experience. Thankfully, they provide hotel slippers for purchase.

Hijinx Hotel was a brilliant experience for our family of tweens and teens; it would be an incredible venue for a hens or even a staff meeting, as the challenges are equalised by a variety of skills being required. They do book out, so book well in advance of your planned time there and let the fun and games begin.
