The perfect night out with no kids
I had the pleasure of attending the HIJINKS January Event and it was an absolute blast!
This kids-free evening was filled with music, games, crafts, comedy, and of course marine life. It was the perfect night out to experience the wonders of the aquarium without any kids running around screaming and being obnoxious.
This adult's only event included an interesting and fun line-up. There was plenty of things to do and see from a laughter workshop, stand up comedy, truth or dare games, giant entertainment games such as chess, jinga, free use of the photo booth, interacting with reptiles and plenty more.
The activities that we conquered were certainly entertaining and I must admit it was quite hilarious too.
Some of the games, activities and entertainment on the night...
We attempted our best laughs at the laughter workshop, competed against each other with a game of chess, while not getting distracted with the cute turtles popping their heads out of the water spying at you.
I even witnessed my first 'drag queen' performance with the underwater creatures being the back drop of the show! You could not help but laugh; especially with the fact that my mother was my date for the night!
Do not forget to get creative with the Art Aquarium Workshop. This gives you the opportunity to be imaginative. We picked the Angel Fish and went wild with the textas to create our own work of art, then scanned it and watched in pride as our masterpiece 'swam by' on the massive screen!
It was certainly a journey through the amazing underwater city. There was plenty to learn of course with the marine life and it was amazing to witness their beauty.
