In 2014, over 2,500 people came together to celebrate Christmas, sing carols together, and to listen to different artists performing. Each year different artists assist on the night by performing carols. People who attend are encouraged to join in and sing some of the well known Christmas Carols. All ages are catered for.
In 2015 the featured artists are Cheryl Baker and Peter Coleman-Wright (husband and wife), who are both talented opera singers. Both Cheryl and Peter were awarded an AO (Order of Australia) in the Queen's Birthday honors this year.
You can receive free flicker candles and glow bracelets when you enter the lawns. Come along, take a break from the frantic lead up to Christmas and join in with other Highton community members to celebrate Christmas and Christ's birth.
Dress your children up as a Christmas character if you like. Parts of the program are aimed at the children.
Catering is provided by the Lions Club. They will be holding a sausage sizzle and drinks, coffee fairy floss and frozen fruit will be available to buy on the night.
