Take Afternoon Tea to New Heights
The Victoria Room restaurant and bar in Sydney's Darlinghurst is an ultra smooth dining establishment, and its high tea is just as refined.

Its exotic dining room, which has decorative screens, plush lounges, rich wallpapers, antique style furniture and dim lighting, makes you feel as though you have stepped back in time to the great Gatsby era, and is the perfect venue for a sophisticated high tea.

Offering a selection of the most delicate, sweet and savoury delights, paired with a gorgeous selection of teas and champagne, this high tea experience will have you bring out your favourite frock, fabulous lady friends and pure etiquette to enjoy it.

There are three menus to choose from including the Classic High Tea - $45pp; Royal High Tea (includes a glass of De Perriere Sparkling Rose) - $55pp; or the Majestic High Tea (includes a glass of Moet & Chandon) - $65pp.

Served in tiered platters, the Victoria Room High Tea offers dainty sandwiches of chicken & wild herbs, cucumber, creme fraiche & dill, smoked salmon, rocket, lemon, capers, watercress, celery, walnuts & goats curd; all cut into perfect sizes and with the crusts trimmed off.

You can pick from a selection of teas to accompany your food, with a rich and exotic collection including English Breakfast Supreme, Scottish Breakfast, Earl Grey Premium, Queen Mary, Prince of Wales, Russian Caravan, Assam, Darjeeling, and China Sencha. Herbal/fruit infusion teas such as lemongrass & ginger, chamomile & spearmint, rose garden, Turkish apple, and chai are also on offer, or opt for coffee for a stronger caffeine hit.

You can now move onto the sweets which are definitely the highlight. Of particular note are the scones which are soft, fluffy and fresh and served with cream and conserve.

Cute vanilla cupcakes with pink frosting are moist and sweet, and the dark chocolate cup with chocolate mousse, cream & fresh raspberries is a petite mouthful of amazingness.

The high tea here is popular so be sure to book ahead.
