A piece of elegance in a busy city
Opposite the attractive Hyde Park located in Sydney CBD lays the exquisite High Tea at Sheraton on the Park, the perfect place to take a break from the busy city life.
This sophisticated experience was established to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II becoming the longest reigning UK monarch, and for this celebration this five star hotel divulged its "Queen Elizabeth II High Tea" menu. It is located in the stunning hotel's 'The Gallery Tea Lounge' at the Hotel Lobby, and it incorporates a contemporary setting with views of Hyde Park.
The menu was created to reflect Her Majesty's renowned favourite treats, as well as the Queen's distinguished preference for simple food.
Upon arrival we were welcomed with a warm, pleasant greeting and the wonderful service did not end there.
We momentary looked at the menu and it made our taste buds salivate on what was yet to come.
The delicate portions of both savoury and sweet delights were served on an elegant three tiered cake stand. The first tier included Victoria sponge cake, red velvet cupcakes, lemon meringue pies, upside-down strawberry pavlovas and oatmeal cookie sandwiches with dark chocolate ganache.
The second tier included an assortment of petite savoury selections. There was warm peppered ricotta salmon and spinach quiche, finger sandwich that consisted of sizzled tuna fillets with cucumber and paprika jam on rye bread, avocado smash, egg, cherry tomatoes and prosciutto on multigrain bread, prawn mayo and cress on white bread and Swiss cheese and pastrami mini croissant.
The delicious warm peppered ricotta salmon and spinach quiche...
Without going into too much detail and ruin the flavours and tastes of these delicacies for you, I will just say that all the savoury delights were marvellously mouth-watering as all the ingredients worked in unison and complemented each other very well. It really left us begging for more!
After indulging in the delightful savouries we took a breather and at this point we were 'eyeing out' all the toothsome sweet delights in front of us which looked very welcoming.
The mouth-watering avocado smash, egg, cherry tomatoes and prosciutto on multigrain bread, sizzled tuna fillets with cucumber and paprika jam on rye bread and prawn mayo cress on white bread....
Once again without tarnishing the surprise of the delicious sweet delights, I will just say that the delicate and beautiful creation of these flavoursome sweets took our palate on a journey of lip smacking goodness!
Overall, all the bite size delights were exceptionally luscious and ambrosial!
High Tea at Sheraton on the Park certainly offers the perfect break away from the busy city. It also makes the ideal girl's day out and it allows you to just selfishly indulge in mouthwatering goodness.

This touch of elegance is hard to pass up. With exceptional service from the beginning to the end and pleasurable bite size sweets and savouries that really entices ones taste buds, making this High Tea experience a must add on the list of things to do!
