High Tea at the Burbury Hotel is held at the Terrace Restaurant on the hotels rooftop, overlooking the city. Afternoon high tea at the Hyatt has been a tradition at this historic hotel over many years. If you are after an authentic experience, this heritage listed hotel is a charismatic place to enjoy the afternoon in style. High tea is served in the Tea Lounge between Friday and Sunday (at different sittings) with an array of savouries, finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones, cakes and slices. High Tea at the Museum of Australian Democracy (Old Parliament House) is another traditional high tea in a historical building, creating a beautiful ambience to enjoy your sweet treats. Built in 1927, this building will impress with its high ceilings and Classical style. If you are wanting to get out of the city, The Scented Rose Garden and Terrace in Bywong (NSW) is also a pleasant escape for the day, located half an hour north of Canberra's CBD.
