Anyone for tea?
The Holiday Inn Old Sydney is in the heart of the vibrant historic area of the Rocks. On Fridays and Saturdays, they offer a high tea in the Playfair Terrace restaurant for $30 per person. Pricing is based on two diners, additional guests can be added to the booking for $30 per person.
To make it more of a special occasion a glass of sparkling wine can be added for $6 per person. The savoury selection included Tasmanian smoked salmon on sourdough with onion & capers, smoked turkey, king island brie & cranberry on a spinach baguette, a ham, Swiss cheese & tomato relish spinach roll and a cucumber & cream cheese sandwich. The sweet treats were petit fours, macarons, scones jam and cream.
The restaurant overlooks the atrium lobby of the hotel, which makes for an interesting time for people watching. Unlimited tea or coffee was provided as well as top ups of jam and cream on request. They will cater for dietary requests if advised upon booking, and full payment is required upfront.
