High Tea, that refined institution of bygone days, has never been more popular. But in the twenty-first century the grand old dame has taken off the corset and let her hair down. For a taste of high tea 2012 style you can't go past the High Tea events that will be gracing Sydney as part of the Crave Sydney International Food Festival .

Women can't get enough of it, men just don't understand it. Tasty morsels of delicate finger food, the fragrant aroma of scented teas, the opportunity to get dressed up to the nines and have some quality girl time with maybe a few glasses of bubbly to top it off. What's not to get?

For a fixed bargain price of $45 including tea or coffee and a glass of the bubbly stuff from Brown Brothers you can enjoy High Tea at a range of select establishments across Sydney throughout October. Sweet or savoury, whimsical or traditional, with amazing views or in elegant surroundings, you're sure to find a high tea to suit your tastes. Participating venues include high tea stalwarts such as The Victoria Tea Room Salon , The Tea Room Queen Victoria Building and Vaucluse House Tea Room , as well as some that are a little more surprising like Sparkle Cupcakery and Sydney Tower Eye .

You can find all the details, including available days, times and contact details on the website here , but the following pages outline my top 4 picks from the twenty-two choices on offer.
