Unfortunately the Barossa Rose Show did not go ahead this year. The high tea was a popular event during the show weekend. However the Lyndoch Hill Winery at the superb location at Chateau Barossa will still be holding a high tea this Spring, to celebrate their blooming roses.

Call some friends or family members for an end of year get together and enjoy a special day out. You will partake of a decadent high tea with all the trimmings in the spacious surroundings of the Grand Ballroom. This will not be simple scones and cream, but quality pastries and tasty morsels prepared by the restaurant chefs. The ballroom has many cabinets of antiques and art work on the walls to view while you enjoy your afternoon with congenial friends. A fabulous way to show visitors the Barossa.

For information or to purchase tickets see here . Please arrive at 1pm for seating and service to begin at 1.30pm. It is best to park at the rear entry which is closer to the ballroom entrance.

Before or after the high tea you can take a walk around the huge rose gardens at the venue. It takes quite a while to look at all the areas. I would allow at least one hour to do this. If coming from Adelaide, travel via the Northern Expressway. Then take the Mallala exit, but turn into Willaston from the Sturt Highway. Travel along the Barossa Highway past Gawler, and the turn off to the venue is on your left, before the road gets to Lyndoch. Allow 1.5 hours from centre of Adelaide.
