I am a world traveller & a mom of two, (8 & 6). I love to meet people, and am fascinated that there are 7 billion stories out there to be explored. I think Melbourne is the most happening city to live in with all the fun activities around town.

High tea with the monkeys
When you think of High Tea, one imagines a fancy hotel, classy wardrobe, lavish choices, exquisite cutlery, etc. However, there is an unlikely place in Melbourne that you may not have yet heard about, that puts on a mighty High TeaŚMelbourne Zoo!
The Zoo, not necessarily known for its cuisine, actually hosts a delicious afternoon High Tea on one Sunday each month for adults and children.

The afternoon tea begins at 2pm, and the ticket includes an hour of leisurely browsing through the zoo gardens and exhibits before the tea commences. The tea is serviced at the Rainforest Room, which is located past the meerkats and giant tortoise exhibits near the Main Gates. The tea includes a wide range of sweet and savoury offerings to delight the young and the young at heart.
Spending the afternoon in the Rainforest Room also means access to a private animal exhibit, that includes playful Tamarin monkeys. This private function venue features cathedral ceilings which allows natural light into the room. The terrace provides views into the award-winning Japanese Garden.
