During the 19th century, one of the most popular parties to either attend or host was afternoon tea and some of its popularity was because it was one of the few places that were respectable for women to be seen outside of the home. Along the way, music was added to the successful formula and these afternoons were known as tea dances.
Brandy Creek Chocolates and Crepes has decided to utilise this successful formula of high tea and jazz again with a High Tea and Jazz Sunday afternoon to celebrate their new function room. The new function room is part of the dessert cafe, which is located in historic McLennan's Arcade, making it the perfect venue for a traditional high tea!
This high tea will consist of a selection of gourmet cakes, chocolates, tarts, sandwiches, croissants and scones, along with the choice of tea and coffee. Accompanying the high tea will be the soothing sounds of a jazz band, which is reminiscent of the tea dances of days gone by.
With an excellent menu and a jazz band, this high tea is sure to be an amazing afternoon, like those of the roaring 1920s and definitely not one to be missed!
